At the community garden: inviting the pollinators
This past April, my gardening
buddy, Judy, and I sowed California and Shirley Poppy seeds in the three
pollinator beds next to the raspberry canes.
Though the flowers are now cascading over the sides, until late June I'd been concerned about whether there'd be blossoms for the bees, as the seeds were slow to germinate.
I really must learn to prune away my worries and grow more patience. There's a steady buzz of activity in the beds now.
