The Bumblebee’s Choice
This open-faced dahlia began blooming a few days ago and has been providing nourishment and a resting/sleeping spot for a Common Eastern Bumblebee. I’m especially thrilled because I grew this dahlia from Floret’s ‘Bees Choice Mix’ seeds. It’s a keeper so I’ll be digging up the tuber at the end of season and storing it for planting next May.
