A Garden for the Bees

The ‘Apricot Lemonade’ Cosmos continue to bloom prolifically, attracting many bumblebees all day long — and overnight. Many times when I’ve gone out to check the garden just after sunrise, I’ve found a sleeping bee on the disc florets. During the heavy rain last week, some of the flower faces turned toward the ground and acted as umbrellas, sheltering the bees that clung to them. So sweet and smart!
