'Hidcote' harvest for drying
Collected from the many, lush, bee-attracting mounds in my mom's front garden:
Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote'
Family Lamiaceae / Lamiaceae
Genus Lavandula are small aromatic evergreen shrubs with usually narrow, simple, entire, toothed or lobed leaves and small tubular flowers in dense spikes in summer
Species 'Hidcote' is a bushy dwarf evergreen shrub with narrow, silvery-grey leaves and small deep violet-purple flowers in dense, aromatic spikes 3-4cm in length
